Palliative Care
Those who are struggling with a disease that shortens their life can receive support from our highly qualified professionals. We place a premium on quality of life to ensure that you or a loved one is as comfortable as is humanly feasible and that the in-home care they experience is unaffected in any way by this priority.
The provision of palliative care calls for a high level of clinical knowledge as well as the ongoing participation of registered medical professionals. As we approach the end of our lives with a disease that shortens our lifespan, our bodies go through changes that require careful attention from medical professionals. The care team will regularly assess a variety of factors, including skin integrity, continence, medication management, and fluid and nutritional control, among other things. A registered nurse from ExtraCare247 will work to ensure that the client's carers have received specialised training, and they will also collaborate with any other health care teams that may be involved, such as those from a hospice, a general practitioner's office, a nursing home, or a pharmacy.
